[iWant] Masai Plaid Taffeta Breakaway Down Jacket
Fall clothing just warms my little heart up. Normally, I stick with a lot of neutral colors but this jacket from Thakoon Fall 2011 RTW Collection is just eye-popping. Give me.
JOHN GALLIANO FALL 2011 RTW
Yes, ANOTHER post pertaining to Galliano. I just couldn't resist putting up some of the details from the show. Think pure luxury. Parisian chic from the 1920s to 1940s summarizes the entirety of the collection. But lest I forget the unusual, yet very familiar twist that Galliano seems to incorporate perfectly every time.
"Here, a pencil skirt with a forties flip was executed in ivory latex — an homage, perhaps, to the nocturnal denizens of this arrondissement that is at once raffiné and louche."
- Hamish Bowles, European Editor at Large for Vogue

The Romantic Renegade: Christian Dior Fall 2011 RTW
I've always adored that royal blue color that was expertly used throughout the first part of the show. So rich. So lush. So nicely done. A great ending to the Galliano era.
Color is making a bold move not only into spring, but fall too. Finally! After several years of being in an economic slump, designers and companies decided to go with dark and neurtal tones to follow the mood of the population.
Although I wear a lot of neutrals, I always love switching it up. PROENZA SCHOULER'S FALL 2011 RTW show demonstrates the color wheel perfectly; with it's vivacious palette of dark reds, blues, yellows, and oranges. Black was still thrown into many of the outfits to make the details pop out even more. Of these colors, were rich textures and tribal-esque patterns that are just so pleasing to the eye! YUM.

BCBG Max Azria Fall 2011 RTW: King Arthur-esque
If there is one thing that I despise in this world, it is turtlenecks; and clearly Mr. Azria begs to differ. All of the models sported a white, almost Under Armour-like, turtleneck with black cuffs underneath to add more depth and layers to the outfits. The significant amount of drop waistlines, skinny belts, and the knee-obscuring hemlines on skirts just made the whole collection scream "masculinity" and "shapelessness". It was just not my cup of tea. If you think about it, models are normally around 5'8/ 5'9 right? So how would you expect a girl, especially of my stature, to be able to pull this look off? I'm sure plenty of people would agree with me when I say that this collection is just not reasonable for the average sized woman. Click here for the full Fall 2011 RTW collection.
