Sheer love

Sheer is like my favorite trend right now. It's sexy yet subtle, showing off just the right amount of skin to the world. I went shopping the other day and literally bought 3 different tops that were sheer. I think I have an obsession.

Spider Lashes

I don't normally wear a lot of makeup but I do fall victim to applying a few good coats of mascara on. In my opinion, mascara and a little bit of blush is really all you need for a fresh and natural look. One of the biggest beauty trends for this fall is called the spider lash look; thick, long, clumpy lashes that resemble the legs of a spider. Designers like Lanvin, Miu Miu, and Valentino all used this look in their Fall 2011 shows. Learn how to do this trend by watching the video below!

APPLES&BANANAS

Designers like Stella McCartney, Prada, Zac Posen, and Moschino kicked up the volume on the runway this season by incorporating some fruity prints.

Colorful, luscious, and playful...
A thumbs up in my book. Slip into something juicy this summer!

I've been admiring the racerback look on dresses; simple with a hint of sexy.

H&M CONSCIOUS COLLECTION

Following my previous post about the Little White Dress, H&M's Conscious Collection offers several options for someone who is on the prowl for one.

TWO THINGS..

+ For the tree huggers that are traveling to Indio for Coachella this weekend, everything is made out of sustainable materials.

++ For those who can't afford the white silk and lace D&G dress that Lively was sporting effortlessly, the pricing in this collection is very affordable!

LWD

As we stow away our form fitting LBD's and safely tuck in our Jeffrey Campbell Lita's back into the shoebox, we must remember that they will be back to live a life of passion and adventure soon enough. In case you did not know, fashion is repetitive (I never thought I'd see the day when stirrups came back in action.. they were a pretty hot commodity when I was about five). But alas, we are moving on to bigger and better things for this Summer...

THE LITTLE WHITE DRESS: timeless, intricate, and very sexy. Unlike the classic LBD, I think it can be very versatile. The LWD can be worn during the day or throughout the night, depending on the type/color of shoe you pair it with. The combination of delicate fabrics (lace and sheer) and traditional techniques (embroidery and crochet) make up that ideal breezy summer night vibe that everyone yearns for.

BEST SILHOUETTE STYLE: Babydoll. It's okay to have a skin tight dress once in awhile, but the babydoll look is flirty and a lot more comfortable to wear out. LADIES, try something different!

ZARA APRIL 2011 LOOKBOOK

As I've stated in the past, mixing colors and prints are a huge trend for this Spring/Summer. Zara's April Collection executes this idea to perfection.

ALSO NOTE: ORANGE LIPCOLOR. Another game changing trend for this Spring.

Oxford flats are my new obsession.

THE FISHTAIL BRAID

You can call me Pocahontas. It took me awhile, but I finally learned how to do the fishtail braid. Everyone fell in love all over again with braids when the look was featured last year in  ALEXANDER WANG'S SPRING 2010 COLLECTION and the MISSONI SPRING 2010 COLLECTION. It's perfect for those days when you want to keep your hair out of your face... which is like everyday for me. Plus, it looks cute and it's something different than a ponytail. Try it out this Spring!
